 Prompt Response: Today, I had the chance to express myself through poetry by writing a love poem dedicated to my celebrity crush. The creative writing process felt exciting because I could let my imagination run wild and put my feelings into words. I enjoyed finding the perfect words to describe my admiration, but it was challenging to make the poem sound sincere and not too cheesy. Turning my thoughts into poetry made me realize how powerful and personal creative writing can be. This assignment changed the way I think about poetry, showing me it doesn’t have to be serious or traditional to be meaningful. Overall, I had fun channeling my emotions and creativity into a poem that truly felt like my own.


Summary: Today in class we started to work on our own poem.


Reflection: After working on my own poem today it made me realize that I should really stop overthinking when it comes to what to write in any form of writing I do. Also I realized that I shouldn’t be somehow any form of embarrassed on my creative ideas for my writings because everyone has their own.

A phrase that I found myself using the most - August 31,2026

Prompt Response: A phrase that I found myself using the most right now is “what is up my guys”. I started to use this especially since the beginning of the school year when one of my teammates and best friends from my color guard team, Danny, started to say it every time she saw one of us just arrived at school. To be honest ever since I joined color guard I started to pick up things that they say or do and this was not an exception especially when it sounded funny every time she said it.   Prompt Response: The experience of me living through the Black Lives movement in 2020, it gave me a firsthand look at how fast the world can completely flip upside down, which helps me understand the sudden shock Americans felt after 9/11. When the video of George Floyd went viral it felt like an overnight shift where normal life stopped and an overwhelming wave of anger, fear and uncertainty took over every news channel and social media. Just like the years after 9/11 there was this intense, heavy feeling in the air where nobody knew what was going to happen next or if our society would ever go back to normal.
