If you could change one rule at school, at home, or in society, what would it be? Using a claim of policy, make an argument for why that rule should change, using at least two reasons to support your claim.- 10/20/2026

Prompt Response: Schools should replace traditional letter grades with a complete pass/fail system paired with detailed narrative feedback. This policy change is necessary because letter grades cause excessive academic anxiety, which severely damages students' mental health and suppresses their curiosity. Additionally, standard grading scales fail to accurately measure true student progress, as they reward memorization rather than actual concept. By using a pass/fail system, schools will foster a healthier learning environment centered on motivation and resilience. Complete written feedback will give students a much clearer understanding of their specific strengths and areas for growth. Ultimately, this shift in educational policy will redefine success, transforming schools from stressful testing centers into supportive places for genuine personal growth.

Summary: Today in class we kept taking notes about argumentative essays and the different types of claims.

Reflection: After taking notes of the different types of claims it made me understand what is a claim for an argumentative essay. It also helped me understand the different types of claims.
